Just like the last part, The Crimes of Grindelwald, this one contains great visuals and fighting sequences, but awful pacing and a boring plot.
This third installment is somewhat of an improvement over 2018’s dour The Crimes of Grindelwald, and it’s about on par with the first film in the series, 2016’s whimsical Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, in terms of pure enjoyment. They’re extremely OK, but never truly inspiring or transporting. The last part of the movie contains a few great battles and Harry Potter backstory information so the movie is watchable, especially for the Harry Potter fans, but generally, the plot barely exists and the whole movie is only a bridge to the new, upcoming one. These Fantastic Beasts movies are just not good. The longest part of the movie is unnecessary and boring, filling our heads with some information in a really slow way. After the movie got postponed twice my expectations got higher and I was optimistic about this one.
